'How Animal Sanctuaries Benefit from Animal Communication' with guests Ellie Laks of The Gentle Barn and Dawn Hayman of Spring Farm CARES

About Conversation
Dawn Hayman, co-founder of Spring Farm CARES joins Ellie Laks, founder of The Gentle Barn, to share how animal communication benefits animal sanctuaries.

This is an unique opportunity to have two animal communicators, who also founded animal sanctuaries, share their unique roles and perspectives that they have with the animals.

About Guest Speakers
Ellie Laks is the Founder of The Gentle Barn Foundation, a national organization that rescues and rehabilitates unwanted animals and heals people with the same stories of abuse and neglect. She is an animal communicator, powerful speaker, celebrated animal welfare advocate, humane educator, and the author of My Gentle Barn: Creating a sanctuary where animals heal and children learn to hope.

Ellie founded The Gentle Barn in 1999. She invented her own “Gentle Healing” method that allows old, sick, injured, and terrified animals to recover fully using a mixture of Western medicine, holistic healing modalities, holding therapy, and lots of love. Ellie is the creator of cow hug therapy and has hosted hundreds of thousands of people who have come to The Gentle Barn seeking hope.

Ellie has appeared on some of the most influential media outlets including The Ellen Show, People Magazine, Life Magazine, Animal Planet, The Huffington Post, Turning Point, Women’s World, The New York  Times, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and many more.

Ellie is a TEDx speaker and keynote speaker who motivates her audiences toward higher awareness, profound compassion, realizing dreams, and an enhanced sense of purpose.

To date, Ellie has saved thousands of animals and hosted over 500,000 guests. The Gentle Barn is currently home to approximately 200 animals. The Gentle Barn has three locations in Los Angeles CA, Nashville, TN, and St Louis, MO. It is her goal to be the voice for animals, share their stories, and open the hearts of humanity toward all living beings, “Teaching people kindness and compassion to animals, each other, and our planet."

Dawn Hayman is one of the pioneers in the field of Animal Communication. Her professional work started in 1987 when she began doing consultations.  Since 1991, she has been teaching workshops in beginning and advanced Animal Communication as well as mentoring and ethics workshops for aspiring animal communicators.  Dawn has helped over 8,000 human clients and has communicated with over 50,000 animals during this time. Her many years of experience as an Animal Communicator, as well as her years of running Spring Farm CARES and the thousands of animals that have come through there, have provided Dawn with a very profound understanding of animals and how they perceive their world and their connection with humans.

Dawn co-founded Spring Farm CARES, an animal and nature sanctuary, with Bonnie Reynolds in 1991. Home to 200-240 animals including horses, donkeys, ponies, goats, sheep, pigs, cats, rabbits, ducks and chickens, as well as a 250-acre Nature Sanctuary, Spring Farm is her home base and life’s work. Dawn has co-written two books with Bonnie: If Only They Could Talk, The Miracles of Spring Farm and The Magic Years. Dawn also is the author of Animal Wisdom for Mankind as well as many other articles for journals and publications.

Dawn teaches several workshops throughout the year. Most are taught right at Spring Farm CARES, utilizing the great gifts and talents of the animal teachers who live at the farm to share their wisdom with all who wish to listen.
